Can anyone tell me if I have to pay stamp duty when im buying out the other half of my house which i originaly bought jointly as a first time buyer.
I have been getting mixed reports on this, some brokers saying i have to pay 3% on the half im buying and the solicitor is saying that the legislation changed last year and as the property is under 317k i dont need to pay stamp duty.
any info on this would be appreciated.
