buying land in poland

anyone done this?
is it possible for an irish farmer to buy and claim farm payments etc including afforestation grants etc?

One must set up a company to own land in Poland. Agricultural land is about Euro 500 an acre, compared to the 10k to 25k here for agri land.

I didn't think that the decoupling applied to Poland but I stand to be corrected.

No - not Irish grants anyhow.

Can anyone explain to me the procedure for buying agriculturally-zoned land in Poland and having it re-zoned? What are the taxes involved and where would be, potentially, the best areas to look at?
