Buying in Waterford City

Visiting Wateford over the next two weekends regarding the purchase of a 3 bed semi in the city.
Can anyone suggest the best areas to purchase for renting. We are first time buyers pushed out of Dublin by the crazy prices

I'm a bit confused - are you buying a property to try and rent out or is it for yourselves to live in ? If it is for yourselves where will you be working after you move to Waterford?

If your renting it Anywhere near the college is good. Youlll get students for nine months of the year

If your thinking of buying there is an estate on top of the tramore and dunmore road cant think of the name but its very nice

A lot of good quality 3 bed semi estates along the Dunmore road. Good rental yields because of proximity to the Regional hospital and good access to the new outer ring road. Collins Ave, Powerscourt, Earlscourt, Grantstown park, Viewmount, Farmleigh.
A little bit more upmarket with mostly 4 and 5 beds are Ballinakill and Ballinakill Downs.
