Buying in Rush

Myself and my partner are a young couple with a little girl thinking of buying in Rush. Anyone any first-hand experience of what its like to live in this town?
Is there a good sense of community?
Whats the general vibe of the place like.
Want to live in a place that doesn't sell itself solely as being within commuting distance to Dublin (which obviously is a bonus) - but is also somewhere that people choose to be at the weekend and has some life to it?
We like to look of the beaches and spotted a nice cafe and some nice looking pubs and also were very impressed with the new library.
Any advice!!!
 
Just resurrecting an old thread, where in Rush is a good estate or side of town to live in.
Then similar questions as above?

So had a good look around Rush in last few days.. Saw few houses in an estate called Lambay View. Anyone live here know of the area or houses and what are they like to live in - sound from neighbour internally, neighbourhood in general.
