I am thinking of buying in balbriggan soon, just wondering if anyone on here living in the area knows what the rental market is like there? as in is there plenty of people looking to rent?

I live in Balb. The rental market looks to me to be mainly foreign nationals- Eastern Europeans working in local construction and limestone plant. Also Africans with families. I dont think there is a huge potential for getting someone to rent a room as most are renting out whole apts or houses. You may get some airport workers who might share but Id say it will be difficult. Its not very central. Im sorry if this sounds negative.
Two of my friends own 2 bedroomed houses and have never had any difficulty renting the spare room. Well one of them had a bit but that's only because she's impossible to live with. She's had about 5 or 6 renters in the last 3 years (all Irish).
