Hi
After weeks of painful looking, put a deposit on a car and due to pickup. Just informed that the log book/vehicle registration cert is not available. Bought through dealer, who bought from garage. Garage said that I could go ahead and tax the car (they will arrange) and that tax cert will be sent out in my name, then log book. They said that even if log book was there I wouldn't receive any way on the day of purchase as it would have to be sent off.. Is it ok to go that route - anyone heard of it?? Mentioned having 10 days grace anyhow. Am apprehensive in case log book doesn't show up or something goes wrong, but they said it's common enough these days.. HELP !Any info appreciated to stop my head spinning ..
