Buying car abroad - temporary car insurance

Hi,

I am planning on buying a car in Poland and driving it back to Ireland in the next few weeks. Anybody know if I can get temporary insurance so that I am covered whilst traveling? Its probably going to take about 3-4 days.

If you have a current policy, then it is possible. I gave the Northern Ireland Registration number of a car I was buying. My insurer added it to my policy, and then I gave them the Irish number as soon as I re-registered it in Ireland.
 
Okay interesting. I currently have insurance on my personal car in Ireland. So I will ring my insurer and reply here with how I get on.
