Buying Agricultural Land

Hello,
Does anyone know if there is any reason why one could not purchase agricultural land and let it out?
Thanks

1. Dismal rates of return. You could easily pay €20,000 per acre for agri land in most parts of the country. Annual gross rental income per acre could be typically as low as €100 per acre - representing a 0.5% return on investment.

2. Falling agri incomes are triggering an exodus of farmers from the industry. If this continues into the medium term, there may well be shortages of farmers, and oversupply of land, in parts of the country.

I had been hoping the rental income might be around 2%, but 0.50% is reallytoo low.
Thanks a lot Ubiquitous.

Hi ubiquitous,

Just to point out you'd actually be doing well to get €100 per acre.
