We're buying a two bedroom apartment in dublin. Is it necessary to have a professional to do a snag list or could we do it ourselves? How much would it cost? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Snag List

Yes generally recommended- would cost c. 300 euro incl. vat- but what they will recommend for builder to re-do or finish correctly could add up to thousands. so really a small investment to reap big rewards

Is apartment new or second hand

If second hand- report from snag list can generally be used to knock down the price or get seller to carry out works.

Re: Snag List

The apartment is new and seems from the first viewing to be built to a very high standard.
