Buying a Sony DVD camcorder from USA??

Looking at buying one of these on Ebay.. Besides the power supply difference ( which an adaptor is supplied to changed to our voltage ) are there any other differences/pitfalls I should be aware of?? Formats etc..

Plus would I be liable for custom charges when the FedEx courier delivers??

The format in the US is NTSC while Europe is PAL. I would think that if you are playing it directly from the camcorder into your TV you would be fine but transfering it to a DVD recorder or a PC might not work.

You would be liable to custome duty too.

it might be worth checking if the camcorder works on PAL tv's which is the irish and european model of tv's where as USA use NTSC so if i buy a playstation in usa or game then it wont work over here without converter.

You might well find that you can choose the video format on Sony camcorders.
