Buying a micro system on line - returns?

I see a very good offer for a Philips micro system/docking station on shopireland.ie which is agent for Amazon in the UK. If i have a problem with it under what i presume will be a 1 year guarantee, would I have to return it to the UK or could i bring it to a Philips agent in Ireland? Thanks.
