Am sooooooo fed up!! Buyer had payed booking deposit to Estate Agent to secure the house we were selling. We immediately took it off the market as promised. Buyer mad keen to move this as fast as possible. To the degree she had our EA pick up contracts from our Solicitor and run across town with them to hers!!

We were expecting to see them signed and returned to our solicitor today, but got a call from EA yesterday at about 5pm to say she has bailed out. She has opted to buy a two bed apartment locally instead of our 3 bed semi!!!:confused:

ecoangle - understand your frustration, but is there a question that you want to ask, or just telling your story ?

Just telling my story as you say. You can never be too certain of a buyers enthusiasm for your property until you see they have signed on the dotted line. The frustrating part is all the enquiries we have had since had been assured that the house was no longer on the market. Such a waste of time and energy. I only wish that there was a legal commitment made when entering into the sale agreed stage.

She gets it back as far as I know cos she hadn't signed the contract....

The deposit paid to the EA is just a booking deposit and is always fully refundable.
