Bus Eireann white collar workers are worried about how the proposed decentraisation might impact on their superannuation scheme. I might be wrong but I think that there is a proposal to allow civil servants who are part of an unfunded scheme join the CIÉ superannuation scheme which is funded.

Does any one have any comments on this?

Bus Eireann workers are due to mount a demonstration in Dublin today in protest at the planned decentralisation of their jobs.

Some 81 Bus Eireann jobs are earmarked for transfer from Dublin to Mitchelstown in Co Cork under the Government's decentralisation programme.

However, the TSSA, a union representing clerical officers, supervisors and managers affected by the move, said they have no interest in relocating to the Co Cork town.

The union said the workers were also concerned about how the move would affect their pension fund
