I am in process of planning building a house in the Laois area. i was hoping you could recommend builders who you have used to build a timberframe house and give idea of costs.
Why not post your plans up on [broken link removed] and the quotes will start arriving in the post. I got at least 10 replies back from a selection of timber frame manufacturers.
I do not have a timber frame house myself but a workmate had one built and swears by it [ heat and speed of build). I could get his builders number on monday if thats not too late.Though I dont normally recommend people I havent used, His house is very nicely finished. I think he paid about 180/200 per square foot. Hope this is of some use to you , good luck with your build
