Building Contract

Does a standard building contract template exist? Ideally one in a tick box style that allows you quickly reach an agreement & sign off with a builder i.e. time, cost, materials used extra? - rather than writing one from scratch. I got scalded before so I want this to be water tight.

Your architect/engineer should be able to help as will your solicitor who would have a standard RIAI/Law society form of contract.

If that's the case you might be well advised to employ a professional to draw one up for you.

The RIAI will sell you a contract which your architect can customise.
