builders and delays in moving dates

Hi

I think I no what the answer is but is there anything that can be done about a builder not having ahouse ready on time, our house was due to be ready in march, fiancee is pregnant with first child due in early july and despite contacting both the builder and auctioneer on an almost daily basis they are doing nothing to help move the situation forward, our own house is sold and we are due to move out on july 31st.

Unless there was a specific clause in the contract guaranteeing a set completion date then the answer is no. Sorry.

A very pregnant woman chasing the site foreman around 'his' site daily and being 'emotional' can galvanise the breed into action with absolutely stunning effect as I have seen myself . The legal profession just send poilit eletters to each other and the foreman never sees them ....or cares. If the 'boys' are watching its totally different.
