That's not true. Protege Partners LLC took up his bet this year to the tune of $1 million. See [broken link removed].

They modified the bet to 5 funds. The original bet terms (10 funds) were not taken up afaik.

True. Buffett made his original challenge at the Berkshire Hathaway meeting in 2006. It wasn't until 2007 that Ted Seides, founder of Protege Partners wrote to him that he'd like to take it up. They eventually agreed between them to reduce the number of funds down to five, from ten.
