Budget 2009 brought forward to 14 October 2008
As detailed in this press release - http://www.taxireland.ie/news/34479.aspx, from the Department of An Taoiseach, the Government has decided to bring forward the date for Minister of Finance, Brian Lenihan T.D., to deliver Budget 2009 to Tuesday 14 October 2008. The Government statement goes on to say that "this will reflect the necessary prioritisation of expenditures in the light of expected tax revenues. As such, it will give clarity and confidence to investors and taxpayers alike, and provide a sound basis for economic recovery."
