Does anyone have a short list of Do's & Don't for a short Spring break in Budapest - apart from concentrating on the baths? This would cover any and all useful information including what to see, what to not bother with, good trips, tips on money, tips on staying safe, etc.

Would love to hear from those who've been there and done that.

Fabulous restaurant (area doesn't look great though) is [broken link removed]. Its an award winning restaurant with huge menu with great value and service as well. Danube cruise is lovely and baths a must too. Don't bother with Svendenre or something like that ( a small tourist trap on the Danube - just too commercial for me!) Instead take a tram out to the outskirts of Budapest itself and sample some real Hungarian life. Also avoid touristy bars/restaurants who charge way more than the ordinary ones - check the menu for price and watch you get your change as some take it as a tip anyway. Some lovely walks around the city too if the weather is kind. Enjoy the trip - beautiful city very like Paris in many ways I thought!
