Can anyone recommend some good agents in BP, i have an apt. there in district V which is not renting too well so i am going over to try and see what is wrong. Will also be trying to get a feel of the market in general when i am there so would like details of a few agents who i can call on to see what is on offer for sale in the city.

I can recommend Dora Toth, Duna house. PM for her email address as I'm not sure whether I should publish it on a public forum

There should be no problem renting an apartment in District V if it's bright, quiet, priced correctly and renovated/furnished to a high standard. Can you tell me a few more details about the apartment itself, size, location, condition of building as well as what rent you'd like to achieve?

www.ingatlan.com is the best resource for seeing what's available on the market in general. Most of the bigger international agents use this as well as some local Hungarian firms.

Budapest, the apt. is in the Szynei Merse house in V which i am sure you are familiar with. It is a 2 bed apt fo 77m2, nice and quite, bright and furnished to a reasonable standard with good solid furniture, not IKEA but not too fancy and an undergroung parking. It was rented for a few months last year to ex-pat but they had to leave to return home unfortunatley. The agent is saying this time of year is quiet which i can probably understand. It was previously rented for 150,000 HUF (not including parking) and the tenant also paid the common costs.

150,000 HUF/month sounds reasonable. Does the apartment stand out in any way - does it have a nice LCD TV or interesting interior design? A few extra design touches can make a huge difference. ([SIZE=-1]Szinyei Merse Haz is in District VI by the way).
