Hello
I'm looking at a friends IBM Thinkpad P3 Laptop, and he's got a BSOD error Stop 0x00021A (ox000034), Microsoft helpdesk list this as a missing or bad Gina.Dll file, it looks like this is right as he was infected by a virus previously.
Any help in editing the registry to place a new Dll file in the Winlogon string.
The system still has the MSGINA.Dll file is the system32 directory, I've tried creating a new String pointing to this file with no luck so far
Any Help or anyone recommend a good Reg edit book
Thanks

Have you followed the instructions mentioned [broken link removed]? What triggered the occurrence of the Blue Screen Of Death in the first place?

He started to get popups and ran a spyware program not sure which and allowed this to delete some registry values, is their a freeware regchecker software worth trying out
