BSc or BEng Computer Science?

On the university website it states:

The BSc is a Bachelors of Science and the BEng is a Bachelors of Engineering. They are the same course but students can choose what they wish to graduate with.

Both have a placement year in industry, and according to the above it's the same course.

When looking for employment after graduation (or for any other reason), is there any benefit in having either a BSc or a BEng?

I would choose B.Eng. There is not a lot of B.Eng degree in Ireland and lot of companies are looking for Engineering candidates. so you may benefit from having B.Eng than B.S in your future

It makes zero difference its all about the course.

I find it very strange that there are the same course. And also, B.Sc courses normally state what they are a degree in, i.e. environmental science. It seems to me that if it is just a B.Sc. it might be necessary to get an add on course to focus what the student is trained in.
