BroadFord - Ballinteer

Hi,
I'm looking for a family house in South Dublin. I've looked at a few houses out around Dundrum within walking distance to the Luas. A couple of the houses were in the Broadford area and were reasonably affordable.

The houses themselves are not that attractive.

What is Broadford like?
Any problems anti-social issues.

I have some friends who live in Broadford and love it. Great area for families in particular - shops, schools, parks, etc. Never heard them mention trouble. If in doubt always a good idea to check with the local Gardai. They can be more specific if theres any trouble spots around the area
