Broadband with no phone line?

Hi,

Here is my situation

I am a student in halls of residence. I have no phone line and cannot put up satellites or anything like that.

Is it possible to get broadband wirelessly with this setup?

One product I can think of is ripwave from irish broadband.
Doesn't require a satellite.. it's just a device you plug into your PC.
However, you need to be in an area with coverage for their ripwave service.
