There is large university there so renting might be ok
I think though that foreigners cannot buy property as individuals & need to set up a company to buy property through it - unless the rules have relaxed in the last few years. Might be faced with similar difficulties when it comes to selling... thats as much as I know so it does require some checking out before you jump in!

I find Google and Wikipedia good as a first port of call! Seriously though, you'd have to think long and hard about investing in a place like this where any potential gains may be difficult to get back out. That risk has to be priced, therefore the return would have to be really good to justify what is far more of a punt than buying in the UK, Ireland or more traditional markets.

Along with the university- related people, workers in the many companies in the region is something that seems appealing, as do potential rental yields compared with Ireland and UK.

Property cheap, rents low.
But real problem is letting it and keeping an eye on it.
No direct flights to Brno.
Better to invest in a place which is easy to get to.
