Does anyone know the time it takes to travel from Bristol to London by train and the cost?

Thanks in advance.

First great western are the train service from bristol parkway ( main one outside bristol). there are also other stations for more local routes.
www.fgw.co.uk and click on times on the top of the page.
www.thetrainline.co.uk is another site for buying tickets.

Trains in the UK are very expensive if booked last minute. There are also bus companies like megabus and national express.

The train trip is around 2 hours to paddington

Fast trains take around 90 minutes to do London-Bristol

Walk up one way fare is £48 ( £62.50 before 9.30 on a weekday) - Trains in the UK are very expensive in general

You can get much cheaper fares booking in advance for specific trains (tickets tie you to a particular depature time and aren't valid on other trains and are non refundable normally) - Fares start at about £15 one way for these advance purchase tickets ... the cheapest fares are to be had if booked well in advance (at least a week) and at less busy times.

Thanks, at this stage I think we'll hire a car as there are 4 adults and car hire seems the cheaper option.
