Breeze thru Ceiling

Hello,

Just a quick question. I was putting up a new ceiling light (whole unit) in my sitting room and when I removed the old unit I noted a nice breeze coming thru. I know that the wind yesterday was bad,
Is this normal??.

The sitting room is on the ground floor of a two story house. The house is also brand new.

You need a breeze through the attic to keep the timbers dry, but I wouldn't think you'd want this getting downstairs in a two storey.

I presume the external walls have a cavity, is this insulated?

As in between the blocks. I presume so. To be honest, it's not a huge draft, and with the wind the other nite it may just be that.

However we are only in the house 3 months.
