Breakdown of Accounts

I was recently a beneficiary of a will which specified that the whole estate was to be divided equally between all family members!

Like many families, there are many fallouts involved but also the executor is married to one of my siblings.

All other family members received their payment three months ago, my solicitor had to request my payment which wasn't paid until 10 weeks later approx and since the payments were made, I am now aware of three different figures that family members have received, with mine being the least amount.

My solicitor has requested the full breakdown of accounts from the executors solicitor three times and was initially ignored and just last week was told that the executor has instructed them to say that I am not entitled to a breakdown of accounts and how the estate was divided.

I am at my wits end as I know that I have been done out of money.....what can I do in this situation?

What did your solicitor suggest ? I presume he said it may cost a few bob to see. How much money is involved ? Is it enough to be worth the hassle of more fallouts and rows ?

I have just received this information today and I'm waiting to see my solicitor in person next week.

I'm just requesting here, is this possible?

Can an executor/other family members just divide an estate how they wish and not have to be accountable?

Surely every beneficiary is entitled to see that they received an equal share in an estate?

On what grounds can an executor refuse to give the breakdown?
