I am going to Germany soon to buy and import a car.
The AA and RAC will not give me breakdown assistance as the car is not on Irish plates... and it is not the same car I am going out in (actually I'm flying).
That's wierd, i have AA cover for both myself and my fiance and they told me it covers us not a specific car. I put this to the test last year when we had a battery failure while driving a friends car, no problems coming out and sorting it for us.
