Just back from holidays in Alvor. Lovely but there were 3 robberies in the Apartment complex where we stayed and the local papers carried reports of a spate of robberies in the general area of the Algarve which is reported as being most unusual. The UK Foreign Travel issued warnings to travellers to be careful. Ground floor apartments seem the main target.
