Break in DA & Requalifying for Fuel Allowance

Friend of mine has been on Disability Allowance and automatically got the Free Fuel Alowance each year.

However he recently took up a Fas training course called Connect which specifically is for people with disabilities.

However he had to quit this after 2.5 weeks.

On the form he got from DSP approving his claim for DA there was a line
stating:

Free Fuel Allowance from Sept 2012


But no other comment.



I'm just wondering should he re-apply in advance of September next
for the Fuel Allowance or is it likely to come true automatically despite the short break in his DA Claim.

There should be no need for him to re-apply as it would appear they've just re-instated his original claim rather than start a new claim.
