Has anyone heard or bought on the Nove Mesto development in Bratislava?

Also, does anyone know where can I get the best LTV mortgage in Bratislava?

Nove Mesto is a district ie. New Town. There are a number of developments in this district

I have to declare a vested interest as I am invloved in the market there but the price seems high for their studios (its difficult to know without knowing the square meterage). Also, I would question why they are charging you a finders/administration fee of £2,000.

Hi Gecko

"Nove Mesto" is just a name coined by the agents to stop you going direct. Its common practice among many agents to make up a new name for the development and hide the name of the developer to stop you buying direct from the developer and avoiding the agents fee.

I can't remember the website for this development but its a very high quaity one- they have a showroom and office in the centre of the old town right off the old square(walked past on Friday). The development location is a good bit to the north of the centre though. If i can find the developer/ project website i'll post it here.

Even better ask your agent straight out for the name of the developer, proper name of the development and the website address- It they are reluctant be very suspicious.

By going direct to the developers website you can usually see the price list that the locals are paying. Its funny when you see they same apartment being offered to you by the agent - 5,000 euro cheaper on the local website

I think you'll probably find the developers price list the same as the agent, but the commission will be built in, so if you go direct to the developer you should get a minimum 5% discount.
The agent should be reluctant to give out the name of the developer, otherwise where do they make money?, if the agent does all the work and then you nip off to go with the developer direct its not very fair on the agent. But then again they should register their clients with the developer. Like TRMA says the $2000 admin fee is a bit rich
