Hi all,
Annoyed here. Called a well know DVD & electronics store about the availability of a TV yesterday and asked whether it was a display model.
I got burnt before on a display model, literally, power adaptor over heating, cutting out.
They said it wasn't a display model and they had one boxed out the back. Grand says I. Went over and bought it.
Got it home and there was no remote. Alarm bells started to ring. Called them up and they said that they weren't sure why this was. But they had two in the store (which again they were not sure which was which and I could collect them and try them)
So cut to today, next day. I ring up and ask them whether they are there for collection. And ask them again, was this on display.
The manager, who I had been speaking to the previous day and who had said it wasn't a display model said that it had indeed been on display.
Now, I would not have bought it if I had known this in the first place. Annoyed. Annoyed that I was told one thing and sold something and then told something else the next day.
Question is, am I entitled to a full refund? And where/what act would be best to look into in case they get narky.
Which they shouldn't because he admitted that it was a display.
Plus I can be narky with the best of them.
Thanks
Locke
