I bought a jacket in Dunnes about 3 weeks ago. Nice Jacket but the zip is faulty.

Will they take it back or will they kick up a fuss?

If the jacket is faulty you are entitled to a refund, replacement or repair. See ConsumerConnect for more on your statutory rights. I would imagine that the likes of Dunnes will not kick up a fuss in this situation..

I bought jeans in River Island, lost a receipt. In two weeks when I wantetd to put it on for the first time, i realised there was a button missing above the zip. I brought it back and got my money back with no problems. (I had no receipt and the jeans were on sale)
So you shouldnt have any problems with Dunnes at all. Even if you broke the zip yourself - it shouldnt break so fast within 3 weeks. They should take it back

Yeah Dunnes are good. Some retailers still don't appear to believe that the customer has any rights at all.

If the product is not deemed to be of merchantible quality you are entitled to a repair, refund or credit note. Shops love to tell you it's not their policy. It's not policy, it's law!

I never had any issue when returning goods to Dunnes, being either faulty or because i had changed my mind.

In my experience most shops (especially larger ones) are well aware of the customer's statutory rights and don't try to shirk their own responsibilities in relation to such matters.

some are not great if a receipt is not shown.
