I don't really have room for a 5:1 solution so just wondering if these are close to the real thing....
 
Also, anyone own a Sony DAV-1X system. They're also a 2 speaker unit. All help appreciated.

First the Bose, then returned it and bought the Sony.

Great..thanks for that! Sony Centre have the outgoing model on sale too.
 
In all my years following the Home Cinema market, I have always been impressed by the Bose designs, but they always get average reviews.

I think people buy them for style over substance.
