Bord Gais bill

Hi,

I'm living in a 4 bed semi-d with 3 others since the 1st Jan this year and to date the gas bills seem very high. From the 1st of Jan to mid June our bills have totaled €554. Can someone tell me if this is normal? - Before I throw a tantrum with my house mates.

PS - 1000 Liters (Approx one years supply) of home heating oil costs €580. Just priced it today for my parents house!!!

And forgot to say got the boiler serviced and the gas pressure was normal.

It sounds about right to me.Presumably you cook with gas as well?If your bills are €550 for 5 1/2 months that would be roughly 1200For a year which is just slightly above what I use in a 3 bed .Also the usage pattern of 4 house mates would be higher than a family.

The cooker is electric but you made a good point of four adults Vs a family, so prob about right.
