Booking deposit

When placing a booking deposit for a property it is a good idea to give a letter to the estate agent and ask them to sign it. This letter should contain that the amount you have given them, the balance outstanding and the fact that the deposit is fully refundable. Has anyone any good templates?

There's no need for this stuff. A booking deposit is refundable, end of. Don't over complicate it.

Pay by Cheque and get a receipt from the EA saying how much your booking deposit was and what property its for. That should be enough.
It's a given under law, AFAIK, that a booking deposit is fully refundable.
