Booking.com - anyone know anything about it?

I normally use www.booking.com when booking accommodation home or abroad.
The site sever seems to be down for about a week now.
Does anyone know what the story is? Are they gone out of business?

Also any specific recommendations for similar sites please.

Doesn't seem to be down for me. Try another browser. I also often use hotels.com

Hey, Thanks for the responses. That is a great site Olympian, thanks for that.
It still won't open in Safari for me but I can get it in Firefox so at least I can get access.

That's your problem. They tend to keep the Lions share of the hotels to themselves ......
