Booking Aer Lingus flights and strike threats

I want to travel to New York in May but am nervous about booking Aer Lingus flights because of the strike threat. Does travel insurance cover in this case? Am I over reacting?

fly with Delta Airlines - they begin Dublin - New York some time in may. The 16th if i'm not mistaken.

Depends on your travel insurance cover and you may need the insurance in place on or before the booking date to be effective. Check the terms & conditions of any policy that you have taken out to clarify.

There is also a risk of a strike at Delta which if things go extremely wrong could even force them out of business.

Try www.continental.com to Newark. I do not believe that they are facing any strike or bankruptcy threats at the moment.
