The ultimate logical conclusion of this approach is no protection for employees - no H&S legislation, no minimum wage, no unfair dismissals protection, no anti-discrimination legislation, no equal access for people with disabilities - This truly is the 'race to the bottom'.

I don't see where you're getting the "logical conclusion" from my statements at all. Please don't drag tenuously drag inferrences from my comments just to justify your point of view.
Just because I wasn't making comments regarding legislation and regulations (which were outside the scope of the OP, and therefore off-topic where you're dragging us), doesn't mean I am opposed to such "protection for employees".
My opinion, simply stated, is if you're aware of possible consequences before doing something, yet you still go ahead and do it, you cannot be upset or feel hard done by if the consequences actually happen.
