BOI online forcing e-statements - the norm?

When trying to look at old statements online today with BOI, I see I can no longer look at transactions older than one month, unless I sign up for E-statements - and by doing that forego paper statements.

Is this the norm with Current Accounts everywhere?
 
oops...you can actually look at the previous 12 month's transactions by going to the Advanced option in the Statements section.
