BOI Credit Card Application

Hi All,
I recently had a BOI credit card application declined based on my current account not being in credit enough days per month since september last year; a few points to note

• I have an agreed overdraft facility for the last 10 years that I stay within
• The reason i am in my overdraft each month is that my wife & I have a (BOI) Joint a/c from which we pay our bills etc- I transfer €1400 monthly to this the day I get paid.- our Joint account is always in credit. I would have thought that this would help explain to them but alas it hasnt.

I am in a permanent job and having the credit card would be handy for when I travel/booking stuff online etc.
I have the option to appeal- should I do so or should I apply to a different bank?

BoI are gone extremely sticky on approving credit card limits. Not necessarily fairly. In my view you'd be better off applying elsewhere.
