BLuetooth System for Car

Have changed jobs and I have to have a hands free system installed in the car. However the system they want to put in involves drilling holes in the dashboard. As I have a wooden dashboard that would be not acceptable and I am planning to change the car next year so it would devalue it a bit.

I already have a Motorola Bluetooth speaker which attachs to the sunvisor (Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Portable Speaker). So having two on the visor is not an option as there would not be enough room to hold them.

Does anyone have any suggestion???

Just curious, what make and model car do you have that has a wooden dash?
 
VW Passat. Try this link. It will give you an idea of what it is like but darker on the inside. Not as fancy as this photo.

Some car [broken link removed] are now coming with bluetooth built in. May be an option depending on whether the model you have has an adapter available or if you can replace the entire unit.

defo dont drill holes - you only need to drill the holes to put in the phone holder. Get a bluetooth kit - I have a nokia bluetooth kit which is perfect but would reccommend one of the Parrot bluetooth kits as they are compatible with almost every phone. Nokia only work with nokia phones so you have to always upgrade to a nokia phone.

Get a professional to put it in - especially considernig it needs to be hooked up to the ignition of the car and also mute the radio.

I can second that re Parrot bluetooth kit. I have the 3200ls with colour screen and it's a good kit. Never had any problems with it

You could also consider buying a Sat Nav with built in Bluetooth - that is, if a Sat Nav (GPS) system is something you might end up buying in the next year or so, anyway.
 
Got sorted through the job. They are equipping me with a strax kit t210 which is the same as the Motorola system I mentioned but clips on differently to the visor whichs suits me. I have been emailed the manual which looks good however have been unable to find anything on the net.

Will definitely get a Sat Nav system in the futute. I see either Aldi or Lidl had one on offer lately. Anyone get one and what was it like.
