I have an Acer aspire laptop running windows 7 and I just bought an Advent class 1 v2 with EDR Bluetooth adapter but it wont work.

Anybody know how I can fix this? The guy in PC world said it is compatible but it's not I think I need to download drivers to make it compatible but where do I get them from? Have looked at Toshiba site cause that's where I was directed to via an error message during installation but I can't find anything there.

Can anybody help a gal in distress .................... pleeeeeeeazze

I doubt he knows enough to tell you what day it is.

There seem to be many requests on the net for drivers for this piece of hardware, but I haven't found any yet.

That's really annoying as I made a point of asking him. Should I just return the product then?

Last week I bought a bluetooth dongle, EDR v2 for my laptop (winXP) and it was just a case of plug and play, there was a mini cd with it but I didn't need it and I assume older OS's would need it as probably a driver on that but.......

Surely win7 would be like XP (in most cases) plug and play.

I would have thought so too but apparently not .

I bought an Iomega portable hard drive and that worked no problem
