Blades and Brake Pads

Was told after getting a service on a 307 the other day that I needed new brake pads and blades

What are blades? 4 were required and I've never heard of them before

I don't mean wiper blades

I agree with purple,they must mean brake discs.Please don't tell me you got a main stealer to service the car because if thats their terminology I wouldn't have much confidence in their workmanship.How much did the service cost? Was the bill itemised i.e. can you tell the individual cost of these"blades"
 
may have been discs actually

they were around 50 each

i got it done in the place i bought the car, pretty much cos the car is a bucket of ****

i want to change it anyway
 
Thanks for that I was vaguely thinking of buying one,think I'll stick with my octavia,not a bit of trouble in two years ownership.I'm a Fiat escapee never never never ever again
