Black Forest - any recommendations?

We are looking to head over here for just over a week, but I'm abit overwhelmed by the size of the place & I was hoping someone has been there and could recommend a nice town / area to stay in as I now need to sort out accomodation.

The group will be 2 adults & 3 young teens, so we would like abit of activity/life

We hope to take full advantage of the Black Forest Card & plan a full day at the Europa Park, but other than that, I am open to ideas

Happy to hear from anyone with some experience of the area.

Black Forest

We usually head to Freiburg which is a beautiful , good sized town in the black forest. There is plenty to do in and around there and europapark is not far. also the titisee has some great water parks with childrens and adults areas. is is also quite inexpensive to go into the town and sit outside and have food drink or ice cream. you don't have to stay in freiburg direct but anywhere closeby is good idea. there is a great farmers market at weekends too. just back from south of france and we will not be going back. quite a rip off to be honest so we will definitely be putting the black fores area back as our number one holiday destination in europe....absolutely fantastic.
