bird trapped in cooker vent

Wondering if any boarder knows who best to approach. A bird appears to have fallen down the old chimney of our 2-storey house in Dublin city centre. And is currently either trapped (or residing, though I doubt that somehow) on top of the venting from our kitchen cooker. When I removed the vent filters yesterday, some earth and bird dirt fell on to the cooker. The bird has been there for a week or so. Is there somebody at Dublin City Council who can help sort? Or can anybody recommend any one else?

Why would you ask the City Council to deal with this?

Get onto a pest control company.

And then get a hat put on your chimney.
