It's so hot outside i've had to come indoors to cool down.
In this weather, may I suggest to anyone who wants more birds in their garden, to put out trays of water. Those small plastic containers you sometimes get from Chinese take-aways are ideal, ie. something not more than 'breast-height' for a thrush.
I've spent the last 20 mins. watching thrushes & other small birds jostle for position to have a 'swim' & cool-down in these
