Me again, just checking out different website, and came across Bioethanol fires. Cheap to run, for rooms, conservatories. Have you heard of these. still checking other websites.

great things.

they are portable, you can move from room to room, no smell, great heat, real flame.

Interesting idea this, the bioethonal fire.

heat is just an exothermic chemical reaction between the 'fuel' and the oxygen in the air

Typically alcohols have a chemical formula such as CH3CH2OH or C2H5OH [ methane I think is CH4 ]
Typically its the H that burns and the C, carbon, forms with additional O to form CO2 or CO if combustion incomplete.

Just wonder what happens here as from here
[broken link removed]

it seems there is no embedded carbon in bio-ethanol

2 Is it a cheap as they claim

Looks like there are lots of fire types, including inset for grates.

on the heat room question , size the heat requirement for the room, say 4kw, so you need 4kw output from the fire.
Cant help with rest:)

I come from the rotten walls with gas supercer heater era so don't understand how u can have fume/condensation free combustion.

not cheap.

fire uses 1l of fuel in about 2 hours at a cost of around €2.50.
