Hi, Does anyone know of any garages that sell biodiesel? Dublin area...
Thanks in advance.

There is a garage in Ringsend/irishtown. It on the strandroad. Someone else may be able to tell you if it rings a bell.

of course you could buy a lot of 5 litre (or larger if you can get your hands on them) bottles of vegetable oil and that would do the trick just as easily, though you would, of course, have to remit the appropriate excise duty to the Revenue

Morning Ireland covered this issue this morning. They mentioned a few outlets that sell it. There's probably a copy of the programme archived on the RTE website.

The Maxol garage on the Strand Road next to Crawfords sell bioethanol which is available in new a Volvo S40 and Ford Focus 1.8 litre engine. A number of other garages scatterd mainly through the south and east of the country also sell this fuel. [broken link removed]

I'm open to correction on this one but I think bioethanol is a replacement for PETROL.Be very careful with bio-diesel.Had a 99 Avensis TD (notD4D) converted to run on straight rapeseed oil. The conversion cost 1200 yoyo's the car stank like a greasy joes and the fuel consumption dropped from average of 38 mpg to 32 mpg. A normally instant starting engine became extremely difficult to start. Was replacing fuel filters monthly despite promises that all would settle down within a month. Then the cost of diesel dropped to a more sane level so its now enjoying a staple diesel diet.
